“Wishing you all the luck in the world on your mad trip—you will certainly feel the miles. You can hear it now—”Dad, are we nearly there yet?” - well hum no! Wrap fish in foil and cook it on the engine bloke and don’t drink the water. And remember eat marmite and the mozzies won’t bother you. Best wishes” Si and Dave |

The Journey |
Driving to Australia: On 1st May 2008 Graham (37) and Eirene (37) Naismith, together with their 3 children Hannah (6), Emily (4) and Abigail (1) embarked on a 30,000 mile charity drive from Purley near Croydon to Cairns, the north east tip of Australia. Their journey took them through Europe into the Ukraine, south west Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China (Olympics!), Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and onto Perth in Western Australia (not driving this bit). The final leg saw them follow a 13,500 mile route completely around the circumference of Australia before arriving back home on the 15th February 2009. The trip aims to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support with all donations going in their entirety to the charity—please spare a couple of pounds and click on the link on the left.
